BA/MA '16

I chose the City College of New York because of the diversity of the school and its age-old reputation. The lifelong friendships I made there were the best part, and the professors, special shout out to Dr. Karin Block and Kyle McDonald, that I had definitely made a big impact on my college life and beyond. My overall experience at CCNY was challenging, but fun and rewarding. CCNY gave me an opportunity to meet and learn alongside many thoughtful, motivating, and creative individuals, many of whom had underprivileged backgrounds like mine. The student body within every single class reminded me of New York City's diversity and urban lifestyle. I was active in social life and the other campus activities. I was the president of the CCNY Geophysical Society, and I was a part of multiple clubs across different departments and schools. CCNY definitely prepared me a lot for my career because I had multiple internships during my college journey. That really helped me get into graduate school. I am glad I get to call CCNY my alma mater, and I am forever grateful for all the experiences.
