I was placed there by the New York City Teaching Fellows Program. What made an impression on me was how innovative and advanced the Education Department was. They were far ahead of any other college or university that other friends of mine were attending at the time. I was very highly sought after, and then I still am. I think because CCNY was so innovative and so ahead of their time that what students are learning now in other universities and colleges, we've already learned it. It's like second nature to us.
