I was encouraged to go to CCNY because it was accessible and available and had a better selection of everything than I could have gotten anywhere else or so far. My father had gone to city college 50 or 60 years before I did. I have a recollection of my question in philosophy which one of my professors taught me. It was very good and I enjoyed it. He was very accommodating. The lectures were interesting. People at the university were very straightforward. They laid out what you have to do as a student. I tried my best to do it. My stay at CCNY was a rewarding experience for me.
