Faculty & Staff

I came to the United States from Hungary in 1957, so it was not easy. The City College of New York was great because, from the financial point of view, it was doable. I worked during the day and went to school at night. I got my degree in mechanical engineering. The teachers were difficult but excellent and demanding, and I think CCNY was a very high-quality school. Before I graduated I got a job as a draftsman in an engineering firm in New York City and stayed there until after graduation. They also gave me the opportunity to learn in advance. I was there for six years, and I received my professional engineering license in New York and New Jersey. I opened a very small office in 1969, and I am still doing that today. I'm grateful to the City College of New York for giving me this opportunity. I made a reasonably good life for myself and my family.
