I was a student from 1959 to 1963, and I started synchronized swimming, water ballet, and all the good things that we have done at City College of New York. We created programs and were at the Olympics in 1964. I was one of the people on the team that helped to encourage and perform, and the reason why synchronized swimming is now in the Olympics as an Olympic sport. I had some wonderful teachers in the health and physical education department, which is what I did there. As the next thing I went on after teaching that next year, I was throughout the world tour. It was tiring, but great and wonderful. I was one of several people in the country, right from CCNY, and that was where I learned it from properly.
