At that time, the reason I went to CCNY was more of an economic inspiration. My family couldn't afford any other college or university at the time. I belonged to a House Plan. I made lifelong relationships through that House Plan at that time. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at CCNY. My classes were wonderful. My instructors and my professors were all top of the line. I don't regret a moment of it. I got a wonderful education at CCNY. I'm always thankful for the education that I received. At that time, we had to take an exam to qualify for a job. I started teaching in New York, in Queens. I taught there for almost five years. I got married and we moved, as we bought a house in Merrick, Long Island. I taught in Baldwin, New York, until I retired in 1982. My husband was a principal at that time. He retired also. We took an early retirement and moved to Florida. We haven't regretted what we did.
