Student Life & Rich Traditions

I chose CCNY because it was the only one I could afford. I enjoyed all of my professors. They were very student-oriented, that they were willing to sit down and discuss if a student had any problems with anything. I was in the nursing program. We went to a variety of different hospitals and we saw and worked for each one for our clinical, which I thought was a plus. I got to see how various places where I may be working worked. Each time we were in a different place. My first job was the job that I stayed with until I retired. The person in charge of pediatrics was my pediatric instructor. She left teaching and went back to clinical. I was in the neonatal unit for 44 years. I have a BSN, an NP, and I'm board certified. I also have a certificate in maternal-fetal medicine. The City College of New York was a place that made people feel at home.
