Moments in Time

My sister went to CCNY before I did, so I followed her. When she was attending I sat in on some classes. I came in undeclared and as a split session student. I was working in the daytime and went to school at night. I took classes at 4:00 because I didn't have the average at that time to get into CCNY full-time. I was a very serious student. I would spend Saturday night at home doing my work. I really wanted to succeed, and I graduated on time. In the same year I graduated, I went at night for my master's in guidance and counseling, but my major was psychology and sociology. I worked for the New York City Board of Education for 37 years first as a teacher, and then I became a guidance counselor. Then I got my social work degree from NYU and became a social worker for the New York City Board of Education. When I came down to Florida, I did volunteer as a social worker.
