I lived in New York in The Bronx at that time, and City College had no tuition. It was a good school, and it remains to be a fine college. It was tuition-free, so that was my top reason for choosing it. It had a great faculty. I met a lot of friends there. Then, I held leadership positions at the college. I developed study skills and interpersonal skills. I have no regrets that I went there, and I look back on it fondly. I also returned later to be on the professional staff. I had two master's degrees. I did my first master's degree at Indiana University. From Indiana University, I became a head resident of co-educational residence halls at New York University. From there, I went into the army. When I left the army, I went back to City College, not as a student but as a member of the professional staff.
