Kathleen Donelli

I chose the City College of New York because I wanted to be a social worker and CCNY had no tuition at that time. I was a single mother with no support, and I could not have gone back to school if it was not for CCNY. I majored in English and education. After I graduated, I got a teaching job for two years in a Catholic school. I then got a job in a public school for five years. I remarried, and I got a master's in English at Manhattanville College. CCNY gave me the opportunity to be as good as I could be, both professionally and educationally.
